Nate's two years old today. I can't believe he's so old. And like other teenagers, he slept late today (although late to him is 7:30. Still, no complaints here!) We spent the morning eating waffles and visiting the Museum of Science and are going to have a relaxing evening home tonight.
As usual, a birthday highlight, is Great Grandpa Rocco's poem. Here's this year's edition:
Nate
From Brighton, NY State you moved away,
To the city of Arlington in the state of MA.
The house on a hill has a garden fenced ground,
Where you can play ball and run around.
It has a room filled with toys to enjoy when you can,
There's big trucks, dump trucks, and also a van.
Early Wednesday mornings Grandma Doris will stop,
Accompanied by the man that you call "Pop-Pop."
Living closer to you are Aunt Holly and Aunt Jean.
Grandpa John and Grandma Shirley will more often be seen.
You're now repeating all the words that you hear,
Surprising the adults when you repeat them as clear.
My words to you on this your special day,
Are God bless you, I love you, have a Happy Birthday.
Love,
Grandpa Rocco
