Nate seems really interested in looking at other people and things. I'm glad it's warming up because it's much easier to get him out of the house where he can (ta da!) see other people and things. Of course, in honor of the impending arrival of spring, it snowed about 8-10 inches here over the weekend. Most of it has melted now, and it should be in the 40s by the end of the week. Heat wave!
He's still drooling up a storm. We don't know if he's teething already or just salivating a lot, but it seems the rabid look is the "it" thing in this age group. He has also started spitting up more, which doesn't seem to bother him at all but creates a lot of laundry for both him and his parents. And he's now in the stage where he wants to put everything in his mouth. Perhaps this is why he salivates so much? He's like one of Pavlov's dogs - show him a toy and out comes the drool.
His other new(ish) talent is reaching out and grabbing. It's amazing how quickly he has accomplished this. Just a week or two ago he had no idea that he could see something and grab it. But now if you dangle something in front of him he'll wave his arms around and grab hold. He definitely doesn't have the coordination to do it all in one svelt movement, but he seems to now understand that he can control his arms. It's funny, because sometimes he will reach out at something and move his tongue around trying to grab and taste it at the same time.
