beach day

This past weekend we travelled down to Duxbury, on the south shore, to visit our friends Marco and Lisa and their kids Mateo and Luca for a picnic and day at the beach. Duxbury is easy to find on the map because it has this tiny strip of beach that sticks out into the ocean (I think it's four or five miles long? Duxbury experts, feel free to impart your wisdom), and we took the kids out onto that strip to play on the bay side. For Nate, it was a good beach introduction because the water was calm (as is the norm for a bay, of course!) and it was very shallow, so he could run around the shoreline freely. He loved playing with the trucks in the sand (an exciting new activity) and splashing around in the water.
