truck day

Lexington, one of our neighboring towns (and birthplace of the American Revolution), held it's annual Truck Day today. Basically, Truck Day is a bunch of town vehicles all parked in a lot together and people (mostly kids) can come climb on them and "drive." Not surprising, truck-centric Nate had a great time. He was one of the only people, both kids and adults, who knew what the Vactor truck was and he explained it to the others in line waiting for a turn at the wheel. He also rode in the fire engine (the pumper truck, to be specific) both as the driver and, in the passenger seat, as the boss; a bucket truck, in the cab, the trunk, and in the bucket itself (which is not built for pregnant women); and the back seat of the police car.
