six is loud

We had some friends over for a potluck yesterday and there were six kids, the oldest was three. Nate had so much fun and was completely beat when everyone left. He could definitely use some work on his interpersonal skills, though. He harassed his first party guest, Ben, by crawling after him wherever he went. Then he attempted to climb on top of Braden. And he was trying to pull himself up using James as a support. Although, none of the kids seems emotionally or physically scarred by Nate's climbing demonstration, which was good.

And I learned a big new(ish) parent lesson - kids are exponentially loud in groups. On his own, Nate is pretty quiet. Then Ben arrived, and they were still pretty quiet. But by the time our buddy Parker arrived, it sounded like an entire elementary school. The kids were definitely louder than the crowd of adults watching the football game (sorry about your Cowboys, Steve), which is pretty impressive. Once again, I only took a couple of pictures, but luckily Sol used his steath camera (that nobody ever seems to see) to take a bunch of shots.
